ARMS – Astoria Rescue Mission
Today we were blessed as a congregation to have the men from the Astoria Rescue Mission sharing both testimony and Gods word with us. It was wonderful to see God working in the lives of these men.
God of Chesed and Emet
Exodus 34:1-8 Today we were blessed to hear from Dr. Brent Olson about a real God that came down and wants to be with us. One who is has unending love for us. One who has patience and mercy. Psalm 136 says “For His steadfast love endures forever”.
Names
Guest speaker Dr. Brent Olson, Professor from the AFLC Bible College and Seminary preaches from the book of Exodus. In it we learn how our names have meaning and that “The Lord shouts your name” and “He calls us friend.” Exodus 33 We also find in Exodus who Jesus is when he says “I am the Lord”
God as a Warrior?
King Josiah had a weak army, but he trusted God. Nahum 1:1-13 When he looked at the adversary with might God promises “Though they are full strength and many they will be cut down and pass away.” John 8:36 says “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
The New Heaven and New Earth
The final sermon in the series from Revelation tells us God will make a new heaven and new earth. He is “coming soon”. Are you ready?
The Final Victory
Do you feel defeated? Is the evil in the world winning? In the book of Revelation chapters 19-20 it tells us a different story. One where God is going to the have the final victory. Listen to the entire sermon by Pastor Carr for an encouraging outcome.
Evil is Conquered
We are reminded in the book of Revelations 18 that even when the end seems evil and things are out of control that God is still in Control of all things.
Relationship – John 6
Pastor John Slivkoff fills in today for Pastor Carr at the last minute and brings us a message of relationships, both with each other and our relationship with Jesus.
Who is Jesus to you?
A question we all must answer, and we pray that we can all answer the question like Peter, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God”. Matthew 16:13-20
Bowls of God’s Wrath
Today’s message from Revelation 14:6-13 we read about the wrath of God that will be unleashed in the end times. We also read from John 4:35 where the “fields are ripe for harvest”. Let us be about God’s work in bringing in the harvest.
Choose your side
Do you worship the Creator or what the Creator created? We are encouraged to run the race and endure to the end when you are then given your eternal life. Revelation 13:4-10
