God’s breaking the chains of slavery
In the book of Philemon part 2 of a 3-part series Paul urges with love for Philemon to take his bondservant back as a brother and not a bondservant. Philemon 1:8-25
What does God say about slavery
From the book of Philemon we read about Philemon’s slave Onesimus, who finds the Apostle Paul and becomes a convert of Christ. He is then encouraged by Paul to return to Philemon for reconciliation.
What does God want of us?
Romans 12:1-2 tells us that we are not to be “conformed to this world”, but to “present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship”.
